On writing and anxiety

Are you bat poo crazy?

Do you work at being a writer? It’s easy to see why. You gotta love having the interest and ability to put yourself and your ideas out to the world.

But is your writer dream maybe not rolling out the way you’d like?

Could you be sabotaging yourself? Writing appeals to people with sensitive personalities.

Deeply feeling the glory and pain of the world drives the creation of must-read writing. But feeling deeply can also drive panic attacks, avoidance, and fear, and ruin your self confidence.

These episodes are the stories of my life as a writer battling social anxiety disorder that was triggered by episodes of panic disorder. (I just loved being disordered.) But the most important part of my story is I have put the disorders behind me.

I’m not a mental health professional. I don’t intend to give mental health advice. I’m not a best-selling author or a writing coach, but I can share insights from my writing success and from a near lifetime of contemplating the act of writing.

I’ve included samples of some of my other writing stuff to give you an idea of my work. I will change these out for new material from time to time.

Perhaps my stories will help you with your challenges. Perhaps they will motivate you to get writing and get your writing out there. Perhaps you’ll get nothing out of them. But I will attempt to make them interesting.
